Exhibitions : Nordic Delight
Nordic Delight was an exhibition constructed like a mind, with conscious and unconscious parts, open and hidden spaces, with a secret society and a collective novel - "Le Chateau d'Étain" (The Tin Castle) written by the curator together with the 17 artists in the form of an "exquisite corpse". The novel is the story of a curator preparing an exhibition. She suddenly gets two heads, two wills, and begins to travel through time and the works and texts of the artists. What is at stake? Will she succeed in producing a show and a collective novel without having her head chopped of by the King Tautologos? And what do the artists prepare in the catacombs of the French castle? What are their journeys? Their dreams and their fears? Will they ever succeed in creating a collective utopia? And how will the novel interfere with the exhibition space at the end?
Nordic Delight took place at Hotel De Marle, a french renaissance castle in Le Marais, the heart of Paris, between 8 september and 24 october 2010.
